The 3 ZIP provided easy access to sustainment gear, ammo, IFAKs and tactical radios. You would place the buttstock of the weapon in the pocket and then strap it down with the compression straps, then stick the reaming part of the rifle through the previously discussed top zip. There are adjustable shoulder straps, adjustable chest strap, a stowable and adjustable waist belt, and an adjustable torso height apparatus. I'm using the two day for my urban carry everyday pack, its great, plenty of dividers for day use. My only complaint is that the waterproof zipper material has been chewed up by the zippers a bit but that's because I tend to tear the bag open. This was a nemesis for those of us with the old Army ALICE packs. With light-to-medium loads this pack honestly feels like its floating on my back, when properly adjusted, and thats something I cant say about many other bags on the market. The bag is definitely clutch Im able to pack a lot more than that in it. If you like having pockets with your pockets then the 3DAP might just be the bag for you, but more on that later. This means that you get something closer to 6.75 in depth for the main compartment in the GR2 to store stuff, and another thinner pocket for more organization. If you know anything about this company, or have used any of there products, you will understand why I make this statement. Like most hiking and military-style rucksacks, there are multiple ways to adjust the bag to contour to your back. I also have a 2016 Philippine made Sweet Pea whose straps are MUCH more substantial. A few months back my 3DAP was stolen out of my car. What started as a small Facebook group has turned into a community of almost 6000 members. They both do have laptop sleeves, and they both have great laptop sleeves at that. Been using this bag for two months as DD to carry work items to/from sites, zippers and overall construction are great. In most cases I can see the arguments in favor of a GR2 if you really wanted to make it work, but not for the outdoors. This should give access to the bottom without everything falling out.
